leave a 1 inch margin on all sides.- number each page either on the top right or at the center bottom. Write your last name. Put a comma. Then write your page number.- At the top left hand corner:your nameteacher’s namecourse numberdate- on the next line center your title. Do not underline, quote, italicize, or bold it. Your title should reflect your thesis topic. Capitalize the first letter of all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, advrbs, verbs. Lower case articles, prepositions, and conjunctions unless these start the title.- on the next line start the introduction.- indent all first lines of each paragraph one tab space.- your font size should be 12 points times or times new roman.- indent all quotes of 5 lines and more 2 tab spaces. 4 lines and less are run into the body of the paragraph.- put the page number of the quote in parenthesis AFTER the period in an indented quotation and BEFORE the period in a quote that is run into the paragraph. DO NOT put quotation marks in indented quotes.- underline or italicize names of long poems, plays, novels, books, journals, magazines, newspapers.- place in quotes names of short poems and stories, articles in a journal, magazine, newspaper or anthology.
